Legendary writers “Paruchuri Brothers” went against the professional norms and wrote the script (with the same line) for both “Dhruvanakshatram” and Balakrishna’s ” Ashoka Chakravarthy”. Both movies released on the same day (or probably within 1 or two days) and the latter fared better at the box-office. Though Ashoka Chakravarthy had great songs like “Roopa Mentha Ruchiraa”, “Endharoo Mahaanubhaavulu“, it was “Pelli Pelli Ippudee Andhi Ammaayi” (inspired by Hassan Jahangir’s “Hawaa Hawaa”) which became a chartbuster. Bhanuchander acted as a Customs officer in this film.
