The above scan is a perfect ode to Sampoorna Raamayanam, one of the mythological classics ever made in Telugu as it completes 50 years on March 16th, 2022. Jadcherla is still an upcoming town in Telangana and for a film to complete 50 days in the same theatre there in early 70s is just a fascinating box-office truth to discover.
I vividly remember an article in Eenaadu Sunday Supplementary, which mentioned that the recently deceased actor Arjun Trivedi was apparently elated to be compared with the acting great Shri S.V.Ranga Rao, for his similar style of portrayal of the demon king Raavan in the mega-hit Hindi serial Raamaayan.
Manthrigaari Viyyankudu was taken out for Moogavaani Paga ( 02/12/1983) in Nellore. Man Intake Randi (03/12/1983) replaced this film at Sridevi A/C, Ongole & at Maruthi Talkies, Bhimavaram.
The comedy entertainer made way for Manishiki Maroopeeru @ Raam Thulasi, Thadepalli Gudem on 09/12/83.
Pooratam and Kontekoodallu were screened at VenkataKrishna, Tanuku and @ Rama Talkies, Warangal from 09/12/83. Andhaa Kaanoon replaced Manthrigaari Viyyankudu on 09/12/83 @ Venkateswara, Chittoor. Iddharu Kilaadeelu was screened @ Bhaskar Deluxe, Guntur from 25/12/1983. MVK had to make way for Suresh Productions Sangharshana @ Ramakrishna, Rajamundry.
