The movie completed its 100 days run with noon-shows in all its I Batch release centres except Nellore. In one of the “Paaduthaa Theeyagaa” episodes, S.P.B. shared an interesting anecdote about the “Paruvamaa” song in which the lead pair continuously Jog. Ilayaraja apparently did not use any instruments but got that sound merely by tapping his thighs rhythmically. Epic Stuff.
50 & 100 days ad of Creative Commercials Punyasthree: All Big producers keep making small movies while waiting to get the call sheets of their regular stars. These movies essentially helped them in better leveraging the administrative costs as they had to anyway maintain an office with regular staff. Though not advertised, “Vaaraalabbaayi” is Murali Mohan’s 100th movie. He reached this milestone in just 8 years!

VJY: 4 +1 theatres in Vijayawada!
Key Take Aways for me from this paper clip: Palanati Simham continued its run with 4 shows in the second week at Mohini, Gajuwaka. Agniparvatham was running in two theatres — Mahalakshmi & Lakshmi—with regular shows in the city. 14/6/1985 happens to be the release date of (the then) Supreme Hero Chiranjeevi‘s revenge drama “Jwaala”.
